Science search engines are essential tools for researchers to find relevant scientific literature quickly and efficiently. With the abundance of scientific literature available online, these specialized search engines provide researchers with a comprehensive and accurate view of the latest research in their field, helping them stay up-to-date with the latest trends and findings. In this post, we’ll explore some of the top science search engines available today.
1. Google scholar — A free search engine that provides access to scholarly literature across many disciplines and sources. 2. IEEE Xplore — A digital library that provides access to articles, conference proceedings, and standards related to electrical engineering, computer science, and related fields. 3. Scopus — A database of abstracts and citations for research articles, conference proceedings, and books in various fields of study. 4. BASE — Is hosted at Bielefeld University in Germany and that’s where it name stems from (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine). 5. CORE — Is an academic search engine dedicated to open access research papers. For each search result a link to the full text PDF or full text web page is provided. 6. Web of Science — A citation index that covers research articles, conference proceedings, and books in various fields of science, social science, and humanities. 7. ResearchGate — A social network for scientists and researchers that allows users to share research papers, collaborate with others, and ask and answer questions related to their fields of study. 8. ScienceDirect — A web-based platform that provides access to scientific, technical, and medical research articles from more than 3,500 journals and over 35,000 books. 9. Arxiv Sanity Preserver — A web interface to the arXiv preprint server that uses machine learning to recommend relevant papers based on a user’s interests. 10.
